Giving and Your Legacy
David Higgins and David Miles

David Higgins and David Miles are young retirees who have recently dedicated their lives to volunteering for the causes in which they believe. Including the ACLU as a beneficiary of their estate was a natural extension of their activism.

"Though we were legally married in San Diego in 2008, our struggle for marriage equality in California continues to be fought by the ACLU. Elsewhere, including in David Higgins' home state of West Virginia, civil rights for same-sex couples still have a long way to go. We are proud of our legacy gift to the ACLU, because it will help fund the fight for civil rights in California and in every state across our country."
